Electrically driven lifting table

Branson Ultraschall extends its portfolio of electric motor drives

No matter whether ultrasonic, linear and orbital vibration, infrared, heated tool or rotational welding - for more than 40 years, Branson Ultraschall GmbH & Co. OHG in Dietzenbach has offered its customers the optimum process solution in each case and has set great store by efficiency, productivity, environmental compatibility and energy consumption while doing so.

At K 2007 in Duesseldorf, Branson Ultraschall was the first supplier anywhere in the world to introduce the first allelectric vibration welding machine (i.e. the M-624 HSi) and thus to meet the market demands for precision, repeat accuracy and speed with better energy efficiency - even at a welding force of 25,000 N.

This vibration welding machine unites the currently most powerful and frequently proven electromagnetic oscillating head drive with an lifting table drive. With 500 mm/s, the electric drive not only achieves twice the speed of comparable, hydraulically driven lifting tables and thus a substantial reduction in the cycle times and the noise emission but also needs up to 40 % less energy.

The necessary very short changeover times which favour the effective preheating of the joining face are achieved particularly when infrared preheating is utilised. This satisfies the requirement for welds with low particle discharge and a better seam appearance.

At K 2010 in Duesseldorf, Branson Ultraschall presented not only other products but also, for the first time, the world's first "large-part vib welder" with servo drive technology, i.e. the all-electric M-934 Si large-part vibration welding machine.
