The CMT (Controlled Motion Technology) developed from BRANSON opens a new range of applications. So every motion from linear to orbital of the plastic part relatively to the fixed one is possible. Based on joint design, best fitted motion can be selected to create an optimised weld. Orbital vibration combined with an infrared pre-heating process (VIB/IR) results in increased weld quality and strength. Metal foil emitters, mounted in a special ceramic, followed the contour of the weld and produce the heat just in the area where it is needed. Plastics will be preheated in weld area and vibration will be start in melt phase, resulting in homogenous weld flesh and nearly no particle emission during weld.

The innovative new PC controller VC100, based on an industrial PC with touch screen and profibus substitute the classical PLC, controls all machine functions and the entire weld process. The VC100 offers extensive data management, including an online graphic and a database e.g. for statistic analysis. Also the VC100 is prepared for all teleservice options like online diagnostic, support and service.
